1. Data controller

2. What data we process and why

a) Browsing the site. Our hosting server logs technical data such as your IP address, browser, date and the page you visited.

  • Purpose: serving the site, keeping it secure and detecting abuse.
  • Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Retention: only as long as needed for that purpose, at most 12 months, unless the law requires longer.

b) Advertising. If the site shows Google AdSense ads, Google and its partners may use cookies and identifiers to serve and measure ads.

  • Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 22(2) LSSI), requested through a Google-certified consent management platform before any non-essential cookies are set.
  • You can withdraw consent at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

c) Email contact. If you write to us, we use your email address and message to reply.

  • Legal basis: your request and our legitimate interest in answering it.
  • Retention: until the matter is resolved, plus any legal limitation periods.

d) Forum account (Steam sign-in). If you sign in with Steam, Steam confirms your SteamID and we fetch your public Steam name and avatar. We never receive or store your password.

  • What we store: your posts, comments, votes, reports, karma and dates. Posts, comments, name and avatar are public.
  • Session cookie: bh_session, 30 days, to keep you signed in.
  • Purpose: running the forum, showing authorship, counting votes and karma, moderating and preventing abuse. This includes posting limits and suspensions.
  • Legal basis: performing the service you request by creating an account (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Retention: your account and content are kept while the account exists. Threads don't expire, so the community history stays available.
  • Deletion: you can edit or delete any post or comment, and delete your account from your profile. Doing so deletes your account data, sessions, votes and reports, and your posts and comments are emptied as "[deleted]". Content removed by moderators and reports are deleted once they're no longer needed to handle the complaint.

3. Data we do NOT process

  • You don't need an account to read the site or the forum.
  • Player statistics and service status are fetched by our server from the public Steam and Epic Games APIs. None of your data is sent in those requests.
  • We don't sell personal data.

4. Recipients and international transfers

  • Hosting provider: a processor under a contract that meets Art. 28 GDPR.
  • Valve / Steam: when you sign in, your browser goes to Steam to identify you; Steam processes that data under its own privacy policy.
  • Google (AdSense): only if you accept advertising cookies.
  • Hobby Expert (hobbyexpert.es): in the "From game to field" section, product photos load directly from the store's servers, which receive your IP address and the technical request data, as with any external image. Legal basis: legitimate interest in showing the linked product.

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. When they do, they use appropriate safeguards: an adequacy decision (such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or standard contractual clauses.

5. Affiliate links

If you click an affiliate link, you go to the seller's website (for example, Hobby Expert), which processes your data under its own privacy policy. The link includes a referral code that identifies this site, not you.

6. Children

This site is not directed at children under 14. We don't knowingly collect data from children under that age (Art. 7 LOPDGDD).

7. Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability, and withdraw consent, by emailing contact@bodycamforo.com.

If you believe we haven't handled your request properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es) or your local supervisory authority.
